High reliability applications in defence, aerospace and medical sectors frequently restrict or forbid the use of 100% tin termination finish on account of concerns regarding tin whisker growth. Welwyn continues to support customers with this requirement by supplying SnPb finish on selected product series. It should be noted that our SnPb finish is not a RoHS part re-dipped or re-plated, which may not eliminate the risk of whisker growth, but has terminations manufactured to our pre-RoHS processes.
